JOB ALERT: TRACKA DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION RECRUITS FIELD ENUMERATORS

Tracka Development Foundation, with support from the Nigeria Youth Futures Fund, is inviting applications from qualified and experienced individuals for the position of Field Enumerator under the Open Government Partnership (OGP) Sub-National Implementation Assessment.

This opportunity is suitable for candidates with experience in field research, data collection, stakeholder engagement and reporting who are interested in promoting transparency, accountability and effective governance at the sub-national level.

A total of 7 Field Enumerators will be recruited, with one enumerator required in each of the seven Northwest states listed below.

  1. Field Enumerator – Kaduna State
  2. Field Enumerator – Kano State
  3. Field Enumerator – Katsina State
  4. Field Enumerator – Kebbi State
  5. Field Enumerator – Jigawa State
  6. Field Enumerator – Sokoto State
  7. Field Enumerator – Zamfara State

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The OGP Sub-National Implementation Assessment focuses on assessing the implementation of open government commitments at the sub-national level.

Field Enumerators will support the assessment by gathering relevant information, engaging stakeholders and documenting findings to contribute to evidence-based understanding of governance and implementation processes.

KEY EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

Applicants should have practical experience in the following areas:

  1. Qualitative and quantitative field research.
  2. Conducting Key Informant Interviews (KIIs).
  3. Facilitating or supporting Focus Group Discussions (FGDs).
  4. Administering structured interviews and questionnaires.
  5. Digital data collection using KoboToolbox, Open Data Kit (ODK) or similar platforms.
  6. Stakeholder engagement and communication.
  7. Accurate field documentation and reporting.

Candidates should demonstrate strong attention to detail, good communication skills and the ability to collect reliable information professionally.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

Applicants must possess a university degree in any of the following fields or a related discipline:

  • Social Sciences
  • Public Policy
  • Development Studies
  • Statistics
  • Law

Relevant field research experience and familiarity with local governance or civil society activities will be valuable.
