CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: KDI ELECTORAL SECURITY MONITORING VOLUNTEERS
Kimpact Development Initiative (KDI) is inviting applications from qualified and committed individuals to serve as Long-Term Election Security Monitors (LTSMs) under its International Election Observers Mission (IEOM) Project ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 General Elections.
This opportunity is for individuals interested in promoting peaceful elections, strengthening democratic governance and supporting electoral integrity through community-based security monitoring.
LOCATIONS
Applications are open to eligible residents across Federal Constituencies in the following states:
- Bayelsa
- Bauchi
- Imo
- Kaduna
- Kogi
- Lagos
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Reside in the Federal Constituency where they intend to monitor.
- Have a strong understanding of their local community and electoral environment.
- Demonstrate impartiality, integrity and a commitment to peaceful elections.
- Possess good observation, communication and reporting skills.
- Be proficient in using smartphones and digital reporting tools.
- Be available for the required training and monitoring activities throughout the project period.
- Not hold a leadership position in a political party or play an active role in a political campaign.
Previous experience in election observation, community monitoring, conflict prevention, research, journalism or civic engagement will be an added advantage.
MONITORING PERIOD
November 2026 – February 2027.
