💼 Job Title: Environmental Health Supervisor

The Environmental Health Supervisor will support the Environmental Health Manager in implementing and supervising sanitation and hygiene activities to improve public health conditions in MSF project areas.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

  • Support implementation of environmental health activities (water supply, sanitation, hygiene)
  • Supervise waste management, vector control, and dead body management systems
  • Ensure adherence to MSF protocols and operational standards
  • Manage equipment maintenance (e.g., water treatment units, Dosatron systems)
  • Oversee distribution and stock management of WASH materials
  • Assist in emergency preparedness and response activities
  • Supervise and train environmental health teams
  • Conduct data collection, reporting, and performance monitoring
  • Coordinate with logistics and other departments
  • Lead vector control initiatives (e.g., insecticide spraying, rodent control)

🎓 Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or HND in:
    • Environmental Health Science
    • Public Health
    • Environmental Science / Management
  • Specialization in Water & Sanitation is an advantage

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years in environmental health or sanitation roles
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory position
  • Experience in inspections, audits, and risk assessments
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Languages:

  • English (required)
  • Local languages: Hausa, Fulani, or Suru (highly desirable)

  • Experience in NGO or emergency response settings is a plus
