GPD is currently seeking a qualified and experienced professional to fill the position of State Coordinator in Jos, Plateau State.

Job Summary
The State Coordinator will provide strategic leadership and oversight for GPD’s operations at the state level. The role involves managing program implementation, leading resource mobilization efforts, developing proposals, and strengthening partnerships with key stakeholders including government agencies, donors, and civil society organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead resource mobilization efforts, including identifying funding opportunities and developing proposals
- Oversee daily state office operations and ensure compliance with organizational and donor policies
- Manage the implementation of project activities within the state
- Build and strengthen partnerships with government stakeholders, donors, and CSOs
- Supervise, appraise, and support state staff performance
- Conduct research, rapid needs assessments, and baseline studies to support project design
- Review project concept notes and reports before submission to program managers and donors
- Support the development of policy briefs and organizational publications
- Ensure staff compliance with internal policies and procedures
- Oversee financial management and reporting at the state level
Requirements
- HND or Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, International Development, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in project management or community development, preferably in the NGO sector
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proven strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively
