🧭 ROLE OVERVIEW

The Nutrition Officer will support the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of nutrition programmes, particularly in emergency and humanitarian settings. The role requires working closely with government partners, NGOs, and communities to improve maternal and child nutrition outcomes.

The successful candidate will also contribute to data-driven decision-making, strengthen capacity building initiatives, and support the delivery of high-impact nutrition interventions in vulnerable communities.

🛠️ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support implementation of nutrition and public health programmes
• Conduct research, data collection, and statistical analysis
• Monitor and evaluate programme performance
• Prepare technical reports and documentation
• Provide capacity-building support to partners and stakeholders
• Participate in emergency nutrition response activities

🎓 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition, Public Health, Epidemiology, Food Science, Biological Sciences, or a related field
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in nutrition, public health, or humanitarian response
• Experience working in complex or emergency environments is required
• Strong skills in research, data analysis, and reporting
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken)

🌟 DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS

• Knowledge of another UN language (Arabic, French, Spanish, Chinese, or Russian) or a local language
• Familiarity with UN systems, procedures, and regulations
• Experience working with international organizations or NGOs
• Experience in fragile or conflict-affected settings
