FHI 360 is recruiting Technical Officers for its Global Health Security (GHS) portfolio under the EpiC project — a major global initiative focused on epidemic control, health system strengthening, and emergency preparedness.
Two states. One mission.

This role sits at the intersection of data, disease surveillance, and rapid response. The Technical Officer will support contact tracing, active case search, and the tracking of emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases. Not theory. Field reality.
Working closely with State Epidemiologists and Disease Surveillance Notification Officers (DSNOs), the role ensures that surveillance systems are not just functional — but responsive, accurate, and aligned with national strategies.

Beyond surveillance, the role contributes to strengthening critical pillars of health security — from laboratory systems and antimicrobial resistance to outbreak response, infection prevention, and community engagement. It also involves training, coordination, and technical support across government and partner institutions.

The ideal candidate brings a solid background in public health or a related field, with at least four years of relevant experience in surveillance, data systems, or technical program support. Familiarity with tools like SORMAS, DHIS2, and IDSR is essential.

This is a full-time position with travel requirements across Nigeria. It demands flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to operate in fast-moving environments.
Compensation is competitive, with an annual salary range of approximately $13,000–$15,000 (inclusive of allowances), depending on experience and qualifications.
