Gender and Social Inclusion Officer Job
Save the Children International is currently recruiting for the position of Gender and Social Inclusion Officer for a national role based in Jigawa State Nigeria with periodic visits to Kano. This position is part of an EU funded programme focused on education and youth empowerment across North West Nigeria and aims to improve access to inclusive and equitable learning opportunities especially for vulnerable groups.
The selected candidate will support the integration of gender and social inclusion across all project activities ensuring that programmes are responsive to the needs of girls boys young people and marginalized communities. The role involves providing technical guidance conducting gender analysis supporting advocacy efforts and facilitating capacity building for project teams and partners. The officer will also contribute to the development of inclusive training materials tools and strategies to strengthen gender responsive programming.
In addition the role includes coordinating project activities across thematic areas supporting monitoring evaluation accountability and learning processes and ensuring that gender and inclusion indicators are effectively tracked and reported. The candidate will engage with stakeholders including government institutions NGOs and civil society actors to strengthen collaboration and promote inclusive policies and practices.
Applicants must possess a degree in social sciences development studies gender and development or a related field with at least 2 to 5 years of experience in gender and social inclusion programming within development or humanitarian contexts. Strong organizational communication and analytical skills are required along with the ability to work independently and within a team.
