The Government of India, through the esteemed Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), is pleased to announce the availability of 104 fully funded scholarship opportunities under the AYUSH Scholarship Scheme for the 2026–2027 academic session. This initiative is implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of AYUSH and supported by the Ministry of External Affairs, reflecting India’s commitment to promoting traditional systems of medicine and holistic well-being across the globe.
The scholarship programme is designed to attract outstanding international students who are passionate about studying and advancing knowledge in traditional and alternative medical systems. Eligible candidates are invited to apply for undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral (Ph.D.) programmes in specialized fields such as Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, and Homoeopathy at recognized Indian universities, institutes, and colleges.
The AYUSH Scholarship Scheme offers comprehensive financial support, covering tuition fees, accommodation, and other essential academic expenses, thereby enabling students to focus fully on their studies and research. Scholars will also benefit from exposure to India’s rich cultural heritage, diverse academic environment, and globally recognized expertise in traditional medicine systems.
Applications are to be submitted online through the ICCR’s A2A Scholarship Portal. The portal provides detailed and user-friendly information regarding participating institutions, available courses, eligibility requirements, hostel facilities, and step-by-step application guidelines. Prospective applicants are strongly encouraged to carefully review all instructions and ensure that their applications are complete and submitted before the deadline.
The closing date for submission of applications is 15 May 2026. Late or incomplete applications may not be considered. Interested candidates are advised to begin the application process early to avoid last-minute challenges.
