The Glenmore Medical Postgraduate Scholarship (2026–2027)

The University of Edinburgh will award three Glenmore Medical Postgraduate Scholarships for eligible postgraduate programmes in the 2026–2027 academic session. The scholarship is open to applicants admitted to selected Human Medical postgraduate programmes, with a strong emphasis on supporting students from Africa.

• MSc Global Health and Infectious Diseases

• MSc Internal Medicine

• MSc Paediatric Emergency Medicine

• MSc Patient Safety and Clinical Human Factors

• MSc Primary Care Ophthalmology

• MSc Science Communication and Public Engagement

• MSc Surgical Sciences

• MSc Cancer Biology and Precision Oncology

• Master of Public Health (MPH)

• Master of Family Medicine (MFM)

On-Campus Programmes (Full-Time, 1 Year)

• MSc Human Anatomy

• MSc Science Communication and Public Engagement

• MSc (by Research) Biomedical Sciences (Life Sciences)

• MSc (by Research) Integrative Neuroscience

• MSc (by Research) Reproductive Sciences

• MSc (by Research) Regenerative Medicine and Tissue Repair

Eligibility and Application Requirements

• Applicants must have received an offer of admission to an eligible programme for the 2026–2027 academic year.

• Preference will be given to applicants who hold an unconditional offer at the scholarship application deadline.

• Applicants are encouraged to complete their programme application and submit all supporting documentation early.

• Priority will be given to candidates who have not previously studied at Master’s level.

Post-Study Commitment

Successful applicants are expected, upon completion of their studies, to continue working in countries that will benefit most from their advanced medical training.

Country Eligibility and Domicile Requirements

Applicants must be currently domiciled in one of the eligible countries, as defined by the DAC List of ODA Recipients (2026–2027).

Please note:

• The list of eligible countries is not identical to the full DAC list.

• Eligibility is based on the applicant’s country of ordinary residence, as defined by the University.

• Applicants domiciled outside the specified countries are not eligible for the scholarship.
