The Hausa Linguistic Projects role involves participating in a variety of language-related tasks such as categorization, annotation, transcription, correction, evaluation, conversational interactions, and voice recording. Additional responsibilities may include content creation, localization, and validation of audio, video, images, sentences, or words. All tasks are performed remotely through an online platform accessible 24/7, offering flexibility for freelancers.
To qualify, applicants must be fluent in both Hausa and English, with strong listening and writing skills and minimal spelling errors. Basic computer skills are required, while experience in data annotation or content rating is considered an added advantage. Candidates should also demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
Technical requirements include access to a computer with at least 4GB RAM, a microphone, and a webcam. Applicants must use Windows 10 or higher, or macOS 13 Ventura or later, with all updates installed. A stable internet connection, headphones, and a secure internet environment are essential. For audio-collection projects, a mobile phone running Android OS is required.
