About the Role

The Program Explorations Associate will support the design, testing, and scaling of new interventions aimed at increasing program impact. This is a field-intensive role, involving significant travel (approximately 12–15 weeks annually) to observe pilots, troubleshoot challenges, and engage stakeholders.

The role requires a highly analytical and adaptable individual who can translate field insights into operational improvements while working collaboratively across teams.

Key Responsibilities

Field Work & Stakeholder Engagement

• Observe pilot programs (e.g., ORS distribution, SMS reminders) and identify implementation gaps
• Conduct supervision visits and qualitative assessments with caregivers and health workers
• Engage with local and state government health officials
• Assess pilot execution before scaling recommendations

Internal Coordination

• Work with engineering teams to improve data collection tools
• Collaborate with operations teams on training and protocols
• Coordinate with stakeholder relations and audit teams
• Translate field insights into actionable recommendations

Program Design & Evidence

• Support randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and surveys in collaboration with partners
• Review research and synthesize program learnings
• Develop and monitor key program indicators

Eligibility Criteria

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, International Development, or related field
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in operations, research, M&E, or consulting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting
• Willingness to travel within Nigeria

Preferred:

• Experience in Sub-Saharan Africa, especially Nigeria
• Familiarity with impact evaluations or RCTs
• Background in NGOs, research, or global health programs
