The Health Strategy and Delivery Foundation (HSDF) is inviting applications from qualified and motivated individuals for the role of Program Intern. This onsite opportunity is available in Abuja and Lagos, Nigeria, and is designed for early-career professionals seeking hands-on experience in the public health and development sector.

Established in 2013, HSDF is a not-for-profit organization committed to improving decision-making and execution within the health sector. The organization focuses on delivering scalable, evidence-based solutions, providing analytical support, fostering innovation, and engaging key stakeholders to address complex health system challenges.

The Program Intern will support the organization’s Programs team across multiple workstreams, gaining exposure to research, program implementation, and stakeholder engagement. The role involves assisting with research activities such as data gathering, desk reviews, and organizing information. Interns will also contribute to stakeholder coordination efforts, including follow-ups and engagement support.

Key responsibilities include supporting data-related tasks such as collection, cleaning, organization, and basic analysis, as well as preparing presentations, drafting reports, and developing other knowledge materials. The intern will also assist with coordination tasks like scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, taking notes during engagements, and supporting logistics for trainings, workshops, and events. Maintaining organized project documentation and supporting basic operational tasks such as procurement, expense tracking, and record-keeping are also essential aspects of the role.

Applicants must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Economics, Social Sciences, Statistics, Pharmacy, Data Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is considered an added advantage. Candidates should demonstrate qualitative research skills, basic knowledge of data handling, and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
