Job Summary
The U.S. Embassy Abuja is recruiting qualified candidates for the role of Procurement Agent in the General Services Office.
The role involves managing procurement processes for goods and services, handling contracts, conducting market research, and ensuring compliance with procurement regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure goods and services for embassy operations
- Manage contracts, purchase orders, and procurement documentation
- Conduct market research and vendor assessments
- Request and evaluate bids/quotations
- Maintain procurement records and filing systems
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance
- Review invoices and coordinate with finance for payments
- Ensure adherence to procurement regulations (FAR, DOSAR, FAM)
Requirements
Education:
- Minimum of 2 years of college study in Business Administration, Management, Purchasing & Supply, or related field
Experience:
- At least 3 years of procurement-related experience
Language:
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of procurement procedures
- Good negotiation and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel
- Ability to understand local market pricing and vendor capacity

- Appointment is permanent (after probation period)
