For almost 45 years, we have implemented lifesaving programs in Health, Nutrition, WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene), Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS), Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), and Social Protection. In Nigeria, ACF has been operational since 2010, focusing on integrated programming across Northeast and Northwest Nigeria. Our projects are funded by AFD, EU/ECHO, French Government, GAC, GFFO, SIDA, US Government, and WAM Foundation.
Position Overview
The ICT Officer will report to the ICT Specialist and will manage all ICT-related issues for the office and sub-bases, including network management, user support, data security, software management, equipment procurement, communication services, and user training.
Key Responsibilities
Network Management & User Support
- Install, configure, and manage network resources for the office and sub-bases.
- Manage network folders, user backups, and data storage.
- Support onboarding/offboarding of ICT system accounts.
- Oversee ICT equipment and consumables, including allocation, tracking, and maintenance.
- Support energy-related projects in collaboration with the Mission ICT Specialist and Roving Energy Officer.
Data Security & Software Management
- Backup user data (OneDrive, NAS, external drives) and ensure data security with antivirus installations.
- Install necessary applications and manage CCTV systems.
- Support deployment of Information Systems to other offices (Jigawa and Yola).
Equipment Procurement & Management
- Collaborate with procurement to ensure correct delivery of equipment.
- Configure, label, and allocate equipment to staff.
- Perform maintenance and coordinate repairs of ICT equipment.
- Track assets and maintain an Equipment Tracking System.
Communication Service & Subscription Management
- Allocate and monitor GSM lines, internet, satellite, and radio communication services.
- Ensure proper use of communication services and report any abuse.
User Management
- Conduct ICT inductions and periodic training for office and sub-base users.
- Configure and manage accounts across all platforms (email, NHF, etc.)
- Provide timely user support for ICT issues.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
- Professional certifications or training in ICT-related fields are an advantage.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience; NGO experience preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a multi-site, cross-cultural environment.
- Fluency in English.
