TRADESMEN AND WOMEN AND NON TRADESMEN AND WOMEN
The Nigerian Air Force NAF has announced the Basic Military Training Course BMTC 47/2026 recruitment exercise for suitably qualified Nigerians interested in joining the Service as Tradesmen and Women or Non Tradesmen and Women.
Registration is FREE OF CHARGE.

GENERAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth.
Male applicants must be at least 1.66m tall, while female applicants must be at least 1.63m tall.
Applicants must be medically, physically and psychologically fit according to NAF standards.
Applicants must have no previous criminal convictions by a court of law.
TRADESMEN AND WOMEN
Applicants must be between 18 and 27 years old by 1st March, 2027.
Applicants with ND or NCE must have at least Lower Credit from an accredited institution.
Applicants must have a minimum of 5 credits, including Mathematics and English Language, in not more than 2 sittings in WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB or NBAIS.
DRIVERS AND TRADE APPLICANTS
Applicants requiring a Trade Test must possess the required 5 credit SSCE qualification and relevant Trade Test Certificate.
Drivers must also possess a valid driving licence.
SPORTSMEN AND WOMEN
Applicants must meet the 5 credit SSCE requirement and provide evidence of professional sporting experience, including relevant certificates and medals.
NON TRADESMEN AND WOMEN
Applicants must be between 18 and 22 years old by 1st March, 2027.
Applicants must possess at least 5 credits, including Mathematics and English Language, in not more than 2 sittings in WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB or NBAIS.
Applicants must also possess Primary School Certificates and Secondary School Testimonials.
REQUIRED APPLICATION DOCUMENTS
Successful applicants must print the following documents after completing their online application:
Acknowledgment Form
Parent or Guardian Consent Form
Local Government Area Attestation Form
The LGA Attestation Form must include the signatory’s passport photograph and a photocopy of their Driver’s Licence, National ID Card or International Passport.
The LGA Attestation Form may be signed by an eligible military officer, a Police officer of CSP rank or above, a substantive Local Government Chairman or Secretary, or a Magistrate from the applicant’s state of origin, as specified by NAF.
Applicants who do not successfully complete their online application will not be able to generate the required forms.
KEY DATES
Registration Opens: 3rd September, 2026
Registration Closes: 14th October, 2026
Zonal General Aptitude Test: Dates will be communicated to successful applicants through the recruitment portal.
Only candidates who pass the aptitude test will proceed to the Selection Interview.
