KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation is an international non-profit organisation dedicated to the fight against tuberculosis, one of the world’s deadliest infectious diseases.

KNCV works with TB professionals and partners to promote effective, innovative and sustainable TB control strategies and to prevent the spread of drug-resistant TB.

JOB PURPOSE

The PDX Radiographer will perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures using Portable Digital X-ray equipment while ensuring optimal patient care, safety and compliance with radiation protection standards.

The role will also support Active TB case finding in hotspot communities by working closely with the State TB and Leprosy Control Program.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare and position patients for X-ray procedures while ensuring their comfort and safety.

Operate Portable Digital X-ray equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images.

Adjust imaging parameters according to specific diagnostic requirements.

Maintain accurate records of radiographic procedures and patient information.

Ensure strict compliance with radiation safety and protection protocols.

Perform routine equipment maintenance and quality control checks.

Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs with technical support.

Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support comprehensive patient care.

Participate in training and professional development activities.

Follow facility policies, procedures and professional standards.

Work closely with the State TB and Leprosy Control Program to ensure optimal use of Portable Digital X-ray equipment for Active TB case finding in hotspot communities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

B.Sc. Degree in Radiography.

Valid practising licence from the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria RRBN.

Minimum of 1 year post-qualification experience in a clinical setting.

Proficiency in operating digital radiography equipment.

Strong knowledge of radiation safety and protection protocols.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Familiarity with NGO activities, particularly TB programmes, is an added advantage.

Flexibility, integrity and strong organisational awareness.

Ability to work effectively with people from different cultural backgrounds.

Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and move radiographic equipment.

Must possess an Android phone for reporting and communication.

Computer literacy and proficiency with digital equipment.

Ability to maintain confidentiality of official information.

Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
