Position: Medical Data Entry Supervisor
Role Overview
The Medical Data Entry Supervisor will oversee and coordinate the work of Data Entry Officers to ensure accurate, reliable, and timely medical data management. The role is essential in supporting MSF’s healthcare interventions by maintaining high-quality data for monitoring, reporting, and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Supervision & Coordination
- Supervise, organize, and plan the activities of Data Entry Officers
- Identify training needs and provide technical support
- Monitor team performance and ensure adherence to MSF standards
Data Management & Quality Control
- Ensure accurate collection and entry of medical data (morbidity, mortality, nutrition, epidemics, etc.)
- Conduct regular quality checks on data entries
- Maintain and manage databases in line with MSF protocols
- Perform regular data backups and ensure data integrity
Technical Support
- Support staff in the use of data management software (e.g., Fuchia, Epi Info)
- Provide ongoing training and troubleshooting for data-related issues
Reporting & Analysis
- Generate regular statistical reports for medical teams
- Highlight inconsistencies, missing data, or unusual trends
- Share epidemiological data and line lists with relevant stakeholders
Specific Duties
Routine Project Data
- Oversee data entry for outreach, inpatient and outpatient nutrition programs
- Monitor disease surveillance activities across target communities
General Operations
- Ensure proper data collection systems across ICCM sites, ATFCs, and ITFCs
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with MSF data protection policies
- Collaborate with MSF and Ministry of Health (MoH) teams
- Organize training sessions to strengthen data collection capacity
Data Protection
- Ensure strict adherence to MSF data security and confidentiality guidelines
- Coordinate data sharing with appropriate approvals
Reporting Line
- Reports to the Data Analyst Activity Manager
- Works closely with medical teams and field staff
