About the Job
The M&E Intern will support project monitoring and data management activities to ensure accurate reporting and evidence-based decision-making. The intern will gain practical experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting within humanitarian and development programs.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Support data collection activities (surveys, FGDs, monitoring visits)
- Assist in using data collection tools (e.g. Kobo Toolbox)
- Support data entry, cleaning, and basic analysis
- Assist in maintaining M&E databases and trackers
- Support field monitoring and verification of activities
- Contribute to preparation of reports and documentation
- Support accountability and feedback mechanisms
- Ensure data confidentiality and quality standards
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Position Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Public Health, Development Studies, or related fields
- Basic understanding of Monitoring and Evaluation
- Familiarity with Kobo Toolbox or Excel is an added advantage
- Good communication and writing skills
- Willingness to learn and work in the field
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills; ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- High level of creativity, initiative, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
