Qualifications
- HND, ND or NTC in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or Mechatronics. Qualified candidate should also have an MBA in Marketing or Business-related fields.
- Consideration will be given to candidates with previous CNG conversion training or certification.
- Graduates from Petroleum Training Institute (PTI), Federal Technical Colleges, and other recognized technical institutions will also be given due consideration. Â
- Candidates with other relevant Industrial/Technical trades experience are qualified to apply.
Experience:
- 0–3 years’ experience in automotive maintenance, gas systems, or vehicle conversion.
- Fresh graduates with relevant technical training and strong aptitude are encouraged to apply.
Skills & Competencies:
- Basic understanding of automotive engines and fuel systems.
- Knowledge of CNG systems and safety practices [or willingness to be trained]
- Ability to use basic hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and safety consciousness.
- Willingness to learn and adapt quickly.
- Physically fit and able to work in workshop and field environments.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Job role
- CNG Conversion & Installation
- 1 month Understudy training with OEM engineers on CNG kits conversion works.
- Carry out installation of CNG conversion kits on vehicles in accordance with OEM and approved engineering standards.
- Ensure proper mounting of CNG cylinders, regulators, injectors, piping, and electrical components.
- Conduct system calibration and functional testing after installation.
- Inspection & Quality Assurance
- Perform pre- and post-conversion inspections to ensure vehicle safety and performance.
- Identify faults, leaks, or installation defects and carry out corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate installation and inspection records.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Provide basic maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting support for converted vehicles.
- Support field repairs and adjustments as required during operations.
- Safety & Compliance
- Adhere strictly to HSE standards, CNG handling procedures, and safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., NMDPRA, SON, OEM guidelines).
- Participate in safety briefings, toolbox talks, and training sessions.
- Reporting & Documentation
- Submit daily/weekly activity reports as required.
- Document installations, issues encountered, and resolutions implemented.
- Team & Project Support
- Work collaboratively with engineers, supervisors, and project managers.
- Be readily available for deployment when called upon for conversion campaigns or projects.
