🧾 JOB SUMMARY
The Nurse Anesthetist will be responsible for assessing, preparing, and monitoring patients before, during, and after anesthesia, ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times.
The role involves working closely with surgeons, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, while operating under the supervision of a Physician Anesthesiologist or senior medical staff.
⚙️ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct pre-anesthesia patient assessments and obtain informed consent
- Develop and implement anesthesia plans
- Administer general, regional, or local anesthesia
- Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthesia accordingly
- Manage anesthesia-related complications and emergencies
- Provide post-anesthesia care and recovery support
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and outcomes
- Handle anesthesia equipment, drugs, and supplies properly
- Ensure infection prevention and control standards are followed
- Support sterilization processes when required
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
🎓 REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (or equivalent)
- Postgraduate qualification in Nurse Anesthesia
- Valid license to practice as a Nurse Anesthetist
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a hospital setting
- Strong knowledge of anesthesia techniques and equipment
- Ability to work under pressure, especially in challenging or humanitarian settings
