Ipsos Nigeria is currently recruiting experienced and detail-oriented professionals to join its field operations team as Field Supervisors. This is a project-based opportunity for individuals with a strong background in public affairs research, social research studies, data collection, or field operations management. Successful candidates will play a key role in ensuring high-quality data collection and effective supervision of enumerators across various nationwide projects.

Position Overview

As a Field Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing field teams during data collection exercises. You will ensure that all field activities are conducted in line with project guidelines, quality standards, and timelines. The role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage field challenges effectively while maintaining data integrity.

Field Supervisors will report directly to the State Coordinator or Field Network Coordinator (NFC), depending on the project structure. The contract is strictly project-based, meaning engagement will depend on the availability and scope of assigned research projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, guide, and coordinate enumerators during fieldwork activities
  • Ensure accurate, complete, and timely data collection according to project protocols
  • Monitor field progress and provide real-time feedback and operational support
  • Conduct routine spot-checks to verify data accuracy and consistency
  • Enforce compliance with research guidelines and quality assurance standards
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate field-related challenges when necessary
  • Maintain proper documentation of field activities and submit regular reports
  • Support efficient team coordination to ensure smooth field operations

Requirements and Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in a relevant discipline such as Social Sciences, Statistics, Public Administration, or related fields
  • At least 2 years of proven experience in field supervision, data collection, or related research roles
  • Prior experience as a field interviewer or enumerator is highly desirable
  • Strong ability to manage teams effectively and ensure productivity in the field
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data quality assurance
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • Willingness to travel and work across assigned locations nationwide
