Invitation to Apply – Climate Youth Negotiators Programme (CYNP) 2026
The National Council on Climate Change (NCCC) invites eligible young professionals to apply for the Climate Youth Negotiators Programme (CYNP). The programme aims to equip young government officials with the technical, policy, and diplomatic skills required to effectively participate in international climate change negotiations under the UNFCCC and related processes.
Eligibility:
• Must be a Nigerian
• Aged between 18 and 35 years at the time of application
• Government employee working in a climate change-related Ministry, Department, or Agency (MDA)
Programme Benefits:
• Mentorship and structured capacity building
• Six months of training on negotiation skills and UNFCCC processes
• Support for youth participation at COP 31
• Focus on African and developing country perspectives
