Africa CDC Public Health Emergency Management Fellowship – Cohort 3
The Africa CDC African Public Health Emergency Management Fellowship is now accepting applications for its third cohort. This fully funded, full-time fellowship is designed to develop the next generation of public health emergency management professionals across Africa.
The six-month fellowship, scheduled to commence in June 2026, combines blended in-class instruction, learning visits, field deployments, and structured mentorship by experienced professionals. Fellows will gain hands-on experience in emergency preparedness, outbreak response, and public health leadership. As a result, they will build practical skills that can be applied across national and regional health systems.
The program is open to qualified public health professionals seeking to expand their competencies in emergency management, disease surveillance, risk assessment, and public health coordination. Fellows will also benefit from exposure to Africa CDC operations. In addition, they will collaborate with international partners.
