About the Organization
The Big Smile Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to community development and humanitarian impact. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Liaison Focal Person to facilitate strategic partnerships and strengthen our community engagement efforts in Borno State.
Role Overview
The Liaison Focal Person will serve as the primary interface between the Foundation and its external stakeholders, including community leaders, government agencies, and partner organizations. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering collaborative relationships, ensuring smooth communication, and representing the Foundation’s interests at the field level across various Local Government Areas (LGAs).
Key Responsibilities
• Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain robust relationships with key community stakeholders, local authorities, and traditional leaders.
• Communication: Serve as the central point of contact for external inquiries and ensure accurate information dissemination regarding project activities.
• Coordination: Facilitate field-level meetings and community dialogues to ensure local buy-in and project transparency.
• Reporting: Document and report on community feedback, stakeholder concerns, and the progress of liaison activities.
• Field Support: Provide logistical support for field missions and ensure that organizational protocols are respected during community interactions.
Requirements and Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc.) in Public Relations, International Relations, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven professional experience as a Liaison Officer, Public Relations Officer, or in a similar community-facing role.
• Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
• Organizational Skills: Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Mobility: Full willingness and ability to travel frequently to field locations, specifically Damboa, Konduga, and Biu.
