Call for Applications: Youth4Climate Call for Solutions 2026
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), in partnership with the Government of Italy, has officially launched the 2026 Youth4Climate Call for Solutions and invites young innovators and youth-led organizations to apply.
With nearly half of the world’s population under the age of 30, youth leadership and intergenerational collaboration are critical to achieving global climate goals. Through the Youth4Climate initiative, selected projects will receive catalytic funding of up to $30,000, along with mentoring, training, and networking opportunities to help scale innovative climate solutions.
🌍 About the Program
Since the first Call for Solutions in 2023, Youth4Climate has:
- Received over 5,000 proposals from young innovators in 130+ countries
- Funded 150 youth-led initiatives across 59 countries
- Distributed a total of $4 million in funding
Notably, half of the funded projects are led by young women, with several initiatives led by Indigenous youth. Awardees also benefit from mentorship, storytelling opportunities, and participation in global climate policy dialogues.

• Food & Agriculture
• Climate Peace and Security
• Oceans & Blue Economy
• Sustainable Fashion & Textiles
• Architecture for Adaptation
👥 Who Can Apply
The opportunity is open to:
- Young individuals aged 18–29
- Youth-led CSOs, CBOs, NGOs, and companies
Applicants must be based in one of the 158 UNDP programme countries and territories.
📚 Additional Support for Applicants
During the application period, participants will receive:
• 1-on-1 mentorship on project planning and budgeting in partnership with the United Nations Volunteers (UNV)
• Project design bootcamps delivered by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC)
The call is available in English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese.
