Established in honour of Lateef Kayode Jakande, the Academy stands as a beacon for nurturing visionary leaders equipped with the skills, values, and mindset required to drive sustainable development. LJLA is deeply committed to cultivating individuals who demonstrate integrity, innovation, and a strong passion for public service.
Through a structured fellowship experience, participants gain access to hands-on learning, mentorship from seasoned leaders, and exposure to real-world governance and policy challenges. The programme is designed to sharpen critical thinking, strengthen ethical decision-making, and build resilience—qualities essential for navigating today’s complex societal landscape.
The fellowship is open to both public and private sector professionals who are eager to make meaningful contributions. Applicants must be Nigerian citizens between the ages of 25 and 35, possess at least two years of work experience, and hold at least a Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND). In addition, candidates must have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) or possess a valid exemption certificate. Public sector applicants within Lagos State must fall within Grade Level 8 to 12.
Applications opened on April 16, 2026, and will close on May 16, 2026. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply within this period and take a bold step toward becoming influential leaders committed to national development.
