New Incentives is a nonprofit organization that provides small incentives to caregivers to encourage infant immunization while increasing awareness of the health benefits of childhood vaccinations.
Job Summary
New Incentives is seeking two Assistant Field Managers to support its child mortality prevention program in Niger State. The program uses cash transfers to encourage mothers to complete their infants’ immunization schedules.
The initiative operates in cooperation with the State Primary Healthcare Development Board in the North West and North East regions.
The Assistant Field Manager will support Field Managers in disbursing cash transfers at public clinics to increase immunization coverage and retention. The role involves ensuring high quality program operations at selected clinics, supervising Field Officers, and building strong relationships with clinic staff, employees, and stakeholders.
This is a full time position. Candidates should reside in or be willing to relocate to one of the towns or LGAs within the state of operation.
Key Responsibilities
Support cash transfer disbursements at public clinics
Ensure smooth and high quality implementation of the program
Supervise Field Officers across assigned clinics
Maintain strong working relationships with clinic staff and stakeholders
Monitor immunization coverage and retention outcomes
Support financial accountability and proper management of program funds
Required Qualifications
Preferably based in Niger State or willing to relocate to Agaie and or Borgu LGAs
Minimum of ND preferably in Health or other Natural Sciences
Willingness to work at remote public clinics and field locations at least 4 days per week
Experience with the Nigerian health system and clinic documentation particularly infant health and vaccinations
Experience in collecting and analyzing health data is desirable
Strong attention to financial management and accountability
Detail oriented, diligent, and result driven
Passion for reducing infant mortality
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Hausa
Excellent responsiveness to email and phone communication
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, internet browsers, smartphones, and digital communication tools
Ability to demonstrate leadership and managerial skills
Motivation to work in a lean and evolving organization
Language Requirements
Proficiency in English language required
Knowledge of Nupe and other commonly spoken languages in Niger State such as Dibo, Busa, Bisa, Boko, Cishingini, Laru, Reshe, and Kakanda is an advantage
