The Hijabi Mentorship Program is a mission-driven organization dedicated to women’s empowerment, social justice, and inclusive development. Available Positions
1. Project Assistant
The Project Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our various initiatives. This position requires an individual who is highly organized and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative and logistical support for program activities and events.
• Assist in the preparation of project documentation, reports, and presentations.
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, mentors, and program participants.
• Support the project team in tracking timelines and ensuring all deliverables are met.
Qualifications:
• A degree or HND in Social Sciences, Administration, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic project management tools.
2. Program Manager
The Program Manager will be responsible for the strategic oversight and successful execution of the organization’s core programs. We are looking for a leader who can design impactful interventions and manage diverse teams to achieve organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of mentorship and empowerment programs.
• Develop strategic partnerships with community leaders, NGOs, and corporate sponsors.
• Manage program budgets and ensure resources are utilized effectively.
• Supervise project staff and provide mentorship to ensure high-quality program delivery.
Qualifications:
• A degree in Management, International Development, or a related field; a Master’s degree is an advantage.
• Proven experience in program management within the non-profit sector.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
3. Finance Officer
The Finance Officer will ensure the financial integrity and transparency of the program. This role is crucial for managing grants, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with national and international financial standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and budget forecasts.
• Monitor project spending to ensure alignment with approved budgets and donor requirements.
• Coordinate audits and ensure all financial activities comply with legal and organizational policies.
Qualifications:
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification (such as ICAN or ACCA) is preferred.
• Experience in non-profit financial management and grant accounting.
• Advanced skills in accounting software and financial analysis.
