POSITION: REGIONAL SECURITY ADVISOR (RSA) – NORTH WEST 3
LOCATION: KADUNA, NIGERIA
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: FULL-TIME
MSI Nigeria Reproductive Choices is recruiting a Regional Security Advisor to support security management operations across the designated region.
The role will provide technical security advice, support risk management, maintain security systems and procedures, and help ensure the safety of personnel, offices, vehicles, assets and field operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
SECURITY MANAGEMENT
Provide regular updates on regional threat levels and security risks.
Conduct risk assessments and ensure appropriate security procedures are implemented.
Develop contingency plans and prepare security reports for management.
Review and update security information and procedures.
SAFETY MANAGEMENT
Ensure MSI Nigeria offices, premises, vehicles and assets are appropriately secured.
Support fire safety and other hazard-prevention measures.
Implement physical security measures, including perimeter security, safe rooms and alarm systems.
PROCEDURAL AND GENERAL SECURITY
Maintain access-control procedures, visitor protocols, key management and guard management.
Implement travel security procedures, including red-zone protocols, travel-time guidance, pre-travel authorizations and vehicle documentation.
Maintain security networks and contextual awareness within the assigned region.
Conduct security briefings and debriefings following security incidents.
Liaise with government security agencies and other relevant security stakeholders.
Ensure offices have appropriate security and medical evacuation plans, including routes, assembly points, responsibilities and communication procedures.
Ensure security incidents and developments are reported promptly.
Monitor field team activities and provide daily security updates.
Provide real-time security support to regional teams when required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree or relevant professional certification.
Practical experience in security assessment, planning and implementation, preferably within an NGO or similar field environment.
Experience in the Nigerian military, police or another security service.
Experience in security management and staff training.
Experience managing serious security incidents in complex or security-challenged environments.
Strong ability to assess risks and provide practical security recommendations.
