Women Entrepreneurial Skills Development (WESD) Program – Call for Applications
ODPM Nigeria, in collaboration with Binoni Innovative Hub Limited and other partners, invites applications from eligible women for the Women Entrepreneurial Skills Development (WESD) Program. This five-day training initiative is designed to equip participants with entrepreneurial knowledge and practical production skills to enhance income generation and support business creation.
The WESD Program aims to empower young women by helping them develop hands-on skills, build confidence, and achieve financial independence. Through a combination of theoretical and practical learning, participants will gain valuable insights into starting and managing sustainable businesses.
The training will take place from June 27 to July 3, 2026, and will be delivered in a hybrid format. The program structure includes three days of online training followed by two days of in-person practical sessions.
The program is open to women between the ages of 18 and 35 who reside in Kano. It specifically targets students, graduates, and aspiring entrepreneurs, as well as women who are interested in starting or expanding their own businesses.
Participants will benefit from practical, hands-on training, exposure to entrepreneurial strategies, and access to a supportive network that encourages growth and innovation. The initiative reflects a commitment to fostering economic empowerment among women through skill acquisition and enterprise development.
