CONTRACT: 12 months, with possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance
SALARY: N500,000 – N730,000 monthly
TRAVEL: Up to 10%, mainly to implementation sites

ABOUT THE ROLE
Notify Health is seeking a Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Officer to support its vaccination reminder programmes across Nigeria.
The MEL Officer will be responsible for high-volume data collection, review, cleaning, analysis, auditing and reporting, while helping improve data quality and strengthen the organisation’s data systems and processes.
The role is suited to someone who is highly detail-oriented, comfortable working with large volumes of routine data, enthusiastic about technology, and passionate about using evidence to improve children’s health outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Executing the MEL System 60%
Review data submissions from health workers and field staff and provide feedback to improve record-keeping and photo quality.
Conduct continuous audits of programme and project implementation and prepare reports and recommendations.
Support programme evaluation through data processing, cleaning and analysis.
Facilitating Accurate Digitisation 20%
Review photographs of health records and determine which records should proceed to data entry.
Oversee data entry staff and ensure digitisation timelines are met.
Review completed data entries and identify quality issues before caregivers are enrolled for reminders.
Review and adjudicate data entry discrepancies and determine likely causes.
Produce feedback and reports for the data entry team.
Improving Processes, Training and Learning 20%
Travel to key training days and train staff on SurveyCTO data collection and data entry processes.
Contribute MEL findings and learning to programme meetings across implementation states.
Identify and implement improvements to M&E processes, including automation, workflow and template improvements.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience in Public Health, Epidemiology, Statistics, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, Development Economics, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field.
At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning, programme analytics or similar data-driven roles in health or development programmes.
Strong practical spreadsheet skills, particularly Google Sheets, for data management, analysis and reporting.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive data processes accurately.
Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
Fluency in Nigerian Pidgin.
Ability to work remotely with reliable internet access and a laptop or desktop computer.
Strong commitment to data integrity and Notify Health’s mission.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Familiarity with SurveyCTO, ODK or KoboToolbox.
Experience training others to use data tools.
Knowledge of additional Nigerian languages, particularly Ebira, Tiv or Fulfulde.
Experience working within the Nigerian health system, particularly programmes involving CSOs, health workers and facility-level data.
Immunisation programme experience is an advantage.
Experience with SQL, Google Data Studio, Google Apps Script or similar data analysis and automation tools.
