Multiple vacancies with CTG (Committed to Good)
CTG (Committed to Good) has announced multiple recruitment opportunities under its shelter and humanitarian programming in Nigeria, specifically linked to the European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO) Anticipatory Action project. The roles are based in conflict-affected and high-need areas of Adamawa State and Borno State, with one key vacancy located in Yola.
VAC-55077: Shelter Technical Supervisor
CTG is seeking a qualified Shelter Technical Supervisor to support shelter and infrastructure interventions aimed at reducing the impact of predictable shocks such as seasonal flooding and displacement risks. The role is based in Yola, Adamawa State, with a contract duration of six months and a start date of May 24, 2026. Applications close on May 11, 2026.
The supervisor will be responsible for planning and implementing shelter-related activities, including minor repairs, household shelter reinforcement, and community mitigation works. Duties include conducting technical assessments, preparing bills of quantities (BoQs), site monitoring, and ensuring compliance with safety and Sphere standards. The role also involves coordinating with community structures, supporting beneficiary engagement, and contributing to reporting and accountability systems.
Candidates must hold a degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, with relevant experience in shelter or construction work, preferably in humanitarian contexts. Experience in West Africa, strong technical skills, and knowledge of community-based implementation are essential. Fluency in English and at least one local language (such as Hausa or Kanuri) is required.
Shelter/NFI Field Support Assistant Roles
CTG is also recruiting Shelter/NFI Field Support Assistants to support field-level implementation in hard-to-reach areas including Dikwa and Ngala. These roles focus on community engagement, beneficiary identification, data collection, and support for distribution activities under the same ECHO Anticipatory Action framework.
Field assistants will support early-warning communication, household registration, needs assessments, and monitoring of shelter/NFI interventions. They will also assist in managing community feedback mechanisms, coordinating volunteers, and ensuring proper documentation of field activities.
Applicants should possess a diploma or degree in social sciences, statistics, or related fields, with at least two years of field experience in humanitarian or development settings. Strong skills in mobile data collection tools such as Kobo and ODK, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office, are required. Knowledge of Hausa or Kanuri is also essential alongside English fluency.
All roles require strong integrity, adaptability, teamwork, and the ability to work effectively in high-risk, resource-constrained environments while maintaining humanitarian standards and safeguarding principles.
