- RESEARCH MANAGER, UU QUALITATIVE EXPERT
LOCATION: Lagos, Nigeria
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time
The Research Manager will contribute to the growth of Ipsos Nigeria’s qualitative research business by serving as a key point of contact for clients from proposal development through final presentation.
The successful candidate will provide expertise in qualitative research while exploring innovative approaches such as digital platforms, ethnography, online communities, mobile research, immersions and video-based reporting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop high-level proposals by understanding clients’ businesses and research needs.
Support the qualitative business in Nigeria, including financial targets, team management and business growth.
Develop multi-country reports and provide final business recommendations and insights.
Lead presentations of research findings and insights, with support from the Qualitative Head when required.
Prepare and review final reports for key clients.
Attend client briefing sessions and understand business objectives.
Lead proposal development and recommend appropriate research designs and innovative research techniques.
Build strong relationships with key clients and coordinate projects from understanding business needs through final delivery.
Work independently on multi-country projects with minimal supervision.
Support the professional development and career progression of the qualitative research team.
REQUIREMENTS
6 to 10 years of relevant professional experience in qualitative research.
Strong interest in innovative qualitative research techniques such as online communities, mobile and digital research, immersions and ethnography.
Solid experience in FMCG research.
Strong experience leading multi-country projects.
Excellent English reading, writing and speaking skills.
Knowledge of a major Nigerian language is an advantage.
Strong problem-solving and business development skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure.
Strong teamwork, leadership and interpersonal skills.
International outlook and multicultural orientation.
Willingness to travel frequently.

- HEAD OF QUALITY CONTROL/DATA FORENSICS
LOCATION: Lagos, Nigeria
REPORTS TO: Operations Director
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time
The Head of Quality Control/Data Forensics will oversee quality control, data validation, data cleaning, field and office processes, analytical activities and data quality systems across research projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage resource planning, job assignment and job distribution.
Provide technical support to DFM, QCM, QCE, SQCE, DME and SDME teams throughout the project cycle.
Provide technical and administrative support to the Operations Director during project execution.
Support staff leave planning, costing, budget rationalization, budget approval and expense reconciliation.
Ensure compliance with operating procedures and processes for data cleaning and validation.
Support compliance with relevant quality standards and procedures, including ISO and IGQS requirements.
Conduct data validation team performance appraisals.
Drive career development programmes and plans for the Quality Control team.
Support field, office and data quality control processes.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent BSc qualification.
7+ years of experience in data forensics and quality control in field and office environments.
4+ years of experience in a quality control supervisory role.
5+ years of experience in retail audit.
Experience using analytical tools including Excel, SPSS and other relevant data analysis tools.
Hands-on experience with data restructuring, validation and cleaning.
Experience converting data files, preferably SPSS to Excel and Dimensions to Excel.
Knowledge of trend analysis, comparative analysis and general statistics.
Experience developing automated reports using Excel, Visual Basic automation and SPSS commands.
Experience using GIS for basic validation, boundary controls and polygonal mapping.
Experience uploading and preloading surveys and assigning jobs for retail projects.
Experience developing automated or dashboard reports using Power BI or Tableau.
Experience with costing and budget rationalization.
Experience working on multi-country projects.
Strong interest in technology and a results-oriented approach.
Excellent problem-solving, teamwork and communication skills.
High attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy.
