ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Bashaair Wellness Foundation is seeking a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to join its purpose-driven team working to create lasting impact in the health and wellbeing of communities.
The M&E Officer will be responsible for developing and managing systems that enable the organisation to track programme performance, measure results, maintain high data quality, and use evidence to improve programme implementation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop project indicators, M&E plans, and data collection tools.
- Establish systems for routine data collection, management, analysis, and reporting.
- Monitor project outputs, outcomes, targets, and overall programme performance.
- Conduct regular data quality assessments and identify data gaps.
- Analyse programme data and present findings through clear reports, dashboards, and presentations.
- Support project teams to correctly collect, document, manage, and report programme data.
- Track programme performance against approved targets and indicators.
- Conduct field monitoring visits and provide feedback to project teams.
- Maintain organised programme databases, records, and documentation.
- Support baseline, midline, and endline assessments where applicable.
- Document lessons learned, success stories, and programme outcomes.
- Provide relevant evidence and data for donor reports, proposals, and presentations.
- Identify gaps in programme performance and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Support evidence-based decision-making and continuous improvement of programme implementation.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Health Sciences, Statistics, Epidemiology, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in M&E, project monitoring, data management, research, or a related area.
The detailed job description also indicates 3 to 4 years of relevant experience as preferred or required experience.
Experience working with NGOs, development organisations, or public health programmes is an advantage.
Experience in community health, TB, HIV, health systems, or related programmes is desirable.
Strong knowledge of data collection, analysis, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
Strong report writing and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of KoboToolbox, ODK, Power BI, SPSS, DHIS2, or similar data management and analysis platforms is an advantage.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively with project teams.
