Call for Data Enumerators for the Digital Democracy Project

Connecting Villages Initiative (CVI) is recruiting qualified young people in Nasarawa State to support field data collection activities under its Digital Democracy Project.

The opportunity is open to young individuals who are interested in community development, civic engagement, data collection and policy advocacy. Selected Data Enumerators will support CVI in gathering accurate information about community needs, priorities and experiences through household and community-level interviews.

Data Enumerators will use digital data collection tools to document community voices and ensure that information gathered from communities is recorded accurately and submitted through timely field reports.

Responsibilities

Selected Data Enumerators will be expected to:

Collect accurate data on community needs and priorities.

Conduct household and community interviews across assigned locations.

Use smartphones and digital data collection applications to record information.

Engage respectfully with community members during field activities.

Document community perspectives and experiences accurately.

Submit complete and timely field reports.

Maintain professionalism and accuracy throughout the data collection process.

Who Can Apply?

The opportunity is open to young individuals who meet the following requirements:

Applicants must be aged 18–35.

Applicants must be residents of Nasarawa State and can apply from any LGA.

Previous experience in field data collection is an advantage.

Applicants should be proficient in English and at least one local language.

Applicants should have an interest in civic engagement, community development and policy advocacy.

Applicants must have access to a smartphone and be comfortable using digital data collection applications.

This opportunity is suitable for young people who enjoy working with communities and are interested in contributing to evidence-based decision-making and democratic participation.

Location

Nasarawa State, Nigeria, across all Local Government Areas.
