CAREER OPPORTUNITIES AT THE LEPROSY MISSION NIGERIA (TLMN)

The Leprosy Mission Nigeria (TLMN) is a Christian international non-governmental organization dedicated to a world without leprosy. We focus on providing holistic care, advocating for the rights of people affected by leprosy and disabilities, and fostering sustainable community development.

We are currently seeking highly motivated and qualified professionals to fill the following positions at our National Coordination Office in Abuja.

1. RESEARCH ADVISOR

Employment Type: Full-Time | 12-Month Contract (Renewable based on performance and funding)

Location: Abuja, Nigeria

Key Responsibilities:

•  Lead the design and implementation of research initiatives related to leprosy, tropical diseases, and disability inclusion.

•  Provide technical expertise in data collection, analysis, and the interpretation of research findings.

•  Draft high-quality research papers, policy briefs, and articles for international publication.

•  Collaborate with academic institutions, healthcare partners, and donors to enhance the organization’s research portfolio.

•  Ensure all research activities adhere to ethical standards and institutional protocols.

 2. ACCOUNTS OFFICER

Employment Type: Full-Time | 12-Month Contract (Renewable based on performance and funding)

Location: Abuja, Nigeria

Key Responsibilities:

•  Manage daily financial transactions and ensure accurate bookkeeping in accordance with international accounting standards.

•  Prepare monthly financial reports, budget reconciliations, and payroll processing.

•  Ensure full compliance with Nigerian tax laws and statutory requirements.

•  Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits.

•  Support program teams with budget monitoring and expenditure tracking for various donor-funded projects.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

•  For Research Advisor: A postgraduate degree (Master’s or PhD) in Public Health, Social Sciences, Statistics, or a related field, with proven experience in research methodology and data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, STATA, or R).

•  For Accounts Officer: A Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting or Finance. Professional certification (ICAN/ANAN) or being at an advanced stage of the program is a distinct advantage.

•  Previous experience working in the NGO/International Development sector is highly preferred for both roles.

•  Strong commitment to the mission and values of The Leprosy Mission Nigeria.
