8th Bauchi Feminist Internet School (BaFIS 2026)
Applications are now open for the 8th Bauchi Feminist Internet School (BaFIS 2026), a transformative initiative designed for young advocates and change-makers committed to shaping a more inclusive and equitable digital space.
The programme provides a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about leveraging technology for advocacy to deepen their knowledge, expand their networks, and strengthen their voices within digital communities. BaFIS aims to nurture a new generation of digital inclusion champions who will actively contribute to bridging the gender digital divide across Nigeria.
The two-day intensive training will cover a range of critical topics, including access to and effective use of the internet, internet governance, and policy-making processes—all explored through feminist perspectives. Participants will gain practical insights, engage in meaningful discussions, and build skills necessary to influence digital spaces and policies.
Eligibility Criteria:
Interested applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Be digitally literate with an active social media presence
- Demonstrate interest or experience in gender advocacy
- Have a connection to, or involvement with, gender-focused or women-led initiatives (an added advantage)
BaFIS is ideal for individuals who are eager to drive change, promote inclusivity, and contribute to conversations around digital rights and gender equality.
Applications are open to a limited number of participants, and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
