The World Bank Group invites applications from motivated young changemakers around the world to participate in the 2026 World Bank Group Youth Summit under the theme “FutureWorks: Designing Jobs for the Digital Age.” The Summit will take place in Washington, D.C. on 11 and 12 June 2026. There will be an option for virtual participation.
The Youth Summit is a global platform that brings together young leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs, students, policymakers, and development practitioners to engage in meaningful dialogue. The aim is to discuss how to build inclusive and resilient economic pathways in a rapidly changing digital economy. Selected delegates will have the opportunity to share their ideas, initiatives, lived experiences, and solutions with a global audience. In addition, they will contribute to shaping conversations on the future of work.
This year’s Summit will focus on three key thematic areas:
Education and skills development
Entrepreneurship and job creation
Agriculture and food systems
These themes will be explored through the lenses of technology, development finance, and fragile and conflict-affected settings. There will be a strong emphasis on practical solutions that can create decent jobs and economic opportunities for young people in the digital age.
Applicants are encouraged to present ideas, projects, initiatives, or perspectives that demonstrate how young people are already shaping new forms of work. This may include building relevant skills and creating opportunities in their communities, countries, or regions. The application is an opportunity to showcase your contribution to development challenges. Furthermore, you can show how your work aligns with the Summit theme.

Eligibility Criteria
To be considered, applicants must meet the following age requirements:
Delegates must be born between 13 June 1990 and 11 June 2008 inclusive.
This means applicants must be at least 18 years old by 11 June 2026 and must not have reached their 36th birthday by 12 June 2026.
Young professionals, students, entrepreneurs, community leaders, innovators, and activists from all countries and backgrounds are encouraged to apply. The Summit values diverse perspectives. In addition, it seeks participants who are actively contributing to solutions related to jobs, skills, entrepreneurship, agriculture, technology, and inclusive economic development.
