Job Overview
The Product Manager will be part of Visa’s Digital Solutions team, focusing on Merchant Services and acquiring solutions across West Africa. The role involves leading strategic initiatives such as Visa Token Service (VTS), digital wallets, and low-cost acceptance solutions like Visa Accept.
The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, risk, legal, operations, and client services to deliver innovative payment solutions and drive adoption across the Sub-Saharan African (SSA) market.
Key Responsibilities
Visa Token Services (VTS):
- Lead tokenization strategy and rollout across West Africa
- Manage partnerships with global wallet providers such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay
- Support integration of Visa Token Service APIs and SDKs
- Drive implementation of secure credential frameworks
Visa Accept & Transit Solutions:
- Develop and execute Visa Accept strategy across the region
- Collaborate with merchants, aggregators, and payment partners
- Lead product integration, certification, and pilot launches
- Monitor performance and provide insights for product improvement
Product Performance & Strategy:
- Track product delivery, performance, and client adoption
- Define product roadmaps and market strategies
- Support business development opportunities and client engagements
- Collaborate with teams to design new payment use cases and solutions
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant work experience
(or advanced degree with 4+ years experience)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience in mobile payments, fintech, or product development
- Knowledge of contactless payments (EMV, NFC, payWave, etc.)
- Background in systems integration or pre-sales consulting
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
