VACANCY: Camera Operator / Video Editor

Role overview:
We are seeking experienced Camera Operators / Video Editors to shoot and edit news reports, features and multi-format content for field and studio production. Successful candidates must work well under pressure, respond quickly to breaking news, and maintain high journalistic and technical standards.
Key responsibilities:
– Operate professional video cameras (DSLR, ENG, broadcast) and related equipment for location and studio shoots.
– Collaborate with reporters and producers to determine camera angles, lighting and audio setups.
– Set up, break down and maintain cameras, tripods, lighting and sound gear.
– Capture B-roll, interviews and live footage; ensure correct framing, focus, white balance and exposure.
– Ensure excellent on-set audio quality.
– Edit raw footage into finished reports or prepare files for transfer to editors.
– Respond rapidly to breaking news, including short-notice travel and work in adverse conditions.
– Ensure all visual content complies with journalistic ethics and broadcast standards.
Required skills & qualifications:
– Proven experience in news/broadcast or content-creation environments.
– Proficiency with DSLR, ENG, or professional broadcast cameras.
– Solid understanding of lighting, sound and shot composition.
– Proficient in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro).
– Experience in live broadcasting and multi-camera setups is an advantage.
– Excellent attention to visual storytelling, strong communication and teamwork skills.
– Ability to perform under tight deadlines; physical stamina for fieldwork.
– Good knowledge of current events, political affairs and media ethics.
Working conditions:
– Field and studio work with a flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays).
– May involve travel to remote or hazardous locations.
