One Acre Fund is an international non profit organization founded in 2006 that equips smallholder farmers to make their farms more productive and resilient. The organization currently supports over 5.5 million farmers across nine countries in Africa by providing quality farm inputs, tree seedlings, accessible credit, modern agronomic training, and other agricultural services. The model enables farmers to increase income and assets on supported land by more than 35 percent on average. One Acre Fund employs over 9,000 full time staff from diverse professional backgrounds.

The Nigeria programme was established in 2018 and is headquartered in Minna, Niger State. The programme currently supports more than 300,000 farmers through its inputs on credit Core programme, inputs on cash Retail programme, and free tree seedling distribution Agroforestry programme.

Role Summary

The Monitoring Evaluation and Learning Enumerator will support field survey implementation and data collection activities. The role involves working closely with Field Supervisors, the MNE Field Coordinator and the MNE Senior Data Coordinator. The successful candidate will report directly to the MNE Field Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct assigned field surveys and data collection activities in line with Monitoring Evaluation and Learning plans

Collect accurate and timely quantitative and qualitative data using approved digital data collection tools

Administer surveys according to standard operating procedures, training guidelines, and ethical research standards

Plan and carry out daily field activities to meet survey targets and timelines

Participate in required trainings, briefings, pilots, and debrief sessions

Submit completed surveys on time and provide regular field updates to supervisors

Identify and report data inconsistencies and operational challenges

Uphold safeguarding principles and ensure confidentiality and secure handling of data

Engage respectfully with farmers and community stakeholders

Support data quality assurance activities including spot checks and follow up interviews

Work safely in rural and hard to reach locations

Work Schedule

This is a full time onsite role. Deployment will be based on operational needs and supervisor assignment.

Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum of a diploma or degree in Social Sciences, Agriculture, Economics, Development Studies, Statistics, or a related field

Experience using digital data collection tools such as CommCare, ODK, SurveyCTO, or KoboToolbox

Proven experience engaging rural communities in the state of application

Familiarity with Niger, Kwara, Nasarawa, Plateau, or Bauchi States is an advantage

Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality

Fluency in at least one relevant local language including Hausa, Nupe, Yoruba, or other dominant local languages

Ability to work on a fixed term basis and meet project timelines

Strong computer and report writing skills are an added advantage

Relocation support is not available
