Programme Service Delivery & Quality of Care Officer (Kano & Jigawa) – Society for Family Health (SFH)
The Society for Family Health (SFH), a leading Nigerian non-governmental organization committed to advancing universal health coverage and social justice, is recruiting qualified candidates for the role of Programme Service Delivery and Quality of Care (QoC) Officer in Kano and Jigawa States.
In this role, the officer will be responsible for ensuring clinical quality assurance and strengthening the strategic positioning of A360’s Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH), Family Planning (FP), Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH), and Nutrition services at the state level. The position focuses on supporting subnational governments and health facilities to deliver high-quality, evidence-based services targeted at adolescent girls, young women, and newborns.
The officer will play a key role in strengthening government systems and healthcare delivery structures, promoting data-driven decision-making, enhancing stakeholder coordination, and ensuring sustainable program scale-up. They will oversee service delivery and quality improvement activities across multiple health facilities within assigned Local Government Areas (LGAs), ensuring consistent standards of care and measurable improvements in health outcomes.
Core responsibilities include providing technical assistance for government system strengthening aligned with SRH and MNCH priorities, institutionalizing quality of care frameworks and mechanisms, and supporting robust data management, analysis, and utilization to achieve high Routine Data Quality Assessment (RDQA) performance. The role also involves managing supply chains for essential health commodities, facilitating strategic engagement and coordination for program sustainability, and supporting planning, budgeting, knowledge management, and reporting processes.
Applicants must possess a first degree in Nursing and/or Midwifery and be duly registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria. A minimum of five years of relevant experience in service delivery or health systems strengthening is required, preferably in a fast-paced environment with increasing levels of responsibility. Demonstrated experience in supporting capacity building and performance improvement for LGA and Primary Health Care (PHC) personnel is essential. Commitment to continuous professional development will be considered an added advantage.
