About the Role
Davidorlah Nigeria Limited is seeking experienced and motivated professionals to join its growing team as Agricultural Extension & Field Research Officers. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about agriculture, farmer engagement, and data-driven decision-making.
Successful candidates will play a vital role in bridging the gap between farmers and agricultural innovation by supporting field operations, conducting research, and generating valuable insights that inform investment and strategic planning.
At Davidorlah, you won’t just be supporting farmers—you will contribute to building one of Nigeria’s most reliable agricultural intelligence systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify, engage, and onboard pineapple farmers into the Davidorlah ecosystem
• Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, cooperatives, farming clusters, and key agricultural stakeholders
• Organize farmer education programs, training sessions, field demonstrations, and community engagement initiatives
• Collect, validate, and report accurate field data across farming communities to support research and investment decisions
• Conduct field research activities and ensure proper documentation of findings
• Prepare detailed and accurate field reports, data insights, and performance updates
• Support monitoring and evaluation activities for ongoing agricultural programs
• Ensure effective communication between farmers and internal teams
Requirements
• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience as an Agricultural Extension Officer, Field Officer, Agricultural Research Officer, or similar role
• Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Extension, Agronomy, Crop Science, Agricultural Economics, or any related discipline (preferred)
• Strong data collection, analysis, and report writing skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently in field environments and manage multiple locations
• Familiarity with agricultural best practices and farmer engagement strategies
Added Advantage:
Candidates who can communicate fluently in any of the following languages: Edo, Hausa, Efik, Ibibio, or other Nigerian languages will be highly preferred.
