👩‍💼 Human Resource Officer – Position Overview

The Human Resource Officer will oversee and manage HR functions for the RESILAC*2 project at the state level. The role involves ensuring compliance with labor laws, strengthening HR systems, supporting staff welfare, and fostering a positive workplace culture aligned with donor expectations.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes
  • Maintain accurate HR records and staff documentation
  • Manage attendance, leave, payroll inputs, and performance systems
  • Ensure compliance with Nigerian labor laws and HR policies
  • Administer staff benefits, pensions, and statutory obligations
  • Support staff training, development, and capacity-building initiatives
  • Provide guidance on HR policies, grievances, and disciplinary processes
  • Promote safeguarding practices, including SEAH prevention
  • Prepare HR reports and manage staff databases
  • Foster a respectful, inclusive, and productive work environment

🎓 Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years’ HR experience (NGO experience preferred)
  • Knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices
  • Professional certification (CIPM, SHRM, etc.) is an added advantage
  • Experience with INGO systems (e.g., ACF, CARE) is desirable
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems
  • Fluency in English (Hausa is an added advantage)
