Role Overview
The Impact Communications Officer is responsible for Lafiya’s visual and digital storytelling. The role focuses on translating complex impact data into high-quality digital assets such as pitch decks, infographics, reports, and short videos to build trust with donors and partners. You will sit within the Growth team and work closely with programme teams. This allows you to showcase Lafiya’s impact clearly and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
Design professional pitch decks, one-pagers, and reports
Translate impact metrics into clear infographics and dashboards
Edit short videos and photo stories from field work
Manage Lafiya’s professional social media channels
Organise and curate field photography and video assets
Coordinate with local contractors when needed
Education and Experience
Completed bachelor’s degree
Evidence of being a fast learner and systematic thinker
Experience completing an independent project such as a social media page, YouTube channel, newsletter, or freelance work
A strong portfolio of visual work including decks, videos, and graphics
Skills and Qualities
Strong graphic design skills using tools such as Canva, Google Slides, Adobe Illustrator or InDesign
Video editing skills using tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro
Strong attention to detail and visual design sense
Ability to work fast and iterate quickly
Clear and professional writing
Basic website maintenance using no-code tools
Email outreach experience using tools such as Mailchimp

Role Overview
The Technical Proposal Lead will lead Lafiya’s institutional fundraising and technical submissions. The role bridges field operations with the requirements of government and institutional donors. It translates programme data into high-quality proposals, reports, and compliance documents.
Key Responsibilities
Draft and finalise grant proposals, concept notes, budgets, and donor reports
Coordinate with Programmes, Monitoring and Evaluation, and Operations teams
Ensure compliance with donor requirements and deadlines
Develop grant templates and maintain standard organisational documents
Maintain accurate records of grants and donor information in the CRM system
Lead the production of donor reports using accurate programme data
Research new funding opportunities and prepare technical briefs
Track proposal timelines and follow up on submissions
Education and Experience
Completed bachelor’s degree
Minimum of five years of professional writing experience in grant fundraising, policy writing, RFPs, or technical writing
Proven experience securing large institutional or government grants
Experience working with data, CRM systems, and technical reporting
Skills and Qualities
Exceptional writing and editing skills
Strong analytical and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and manage complex deadlines
