Applications are now open for the Unearthing Insights Applied Fellowship Programme, a unique and flexible 6-month (24-week) learning and professional development initiative designed to equip young people across Africa with practical, workplace-ready skills.
The fellowship is structured to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world experience by creating an environment where participants can learn by doing, collaborating, experimenting, and reflecting. It is important to note that this programme is strictly an educational and developmental experience and does not constitute employment, internship, or consultancy. As such, participants will not receive a salary, stipend, or financial compensation.
Programme Overview:
The Unearthing Insights Applied Fellowship Programme is designed to provide participants with meaningful exposure to real-life work processes and collaborative projects. Fellows will gain hands-on experience while contributing to shared outputs and building a strong portfolio that showcases their skills and capabilities.
Throughout the programme, participants will benefit from:
• Exposure to key organisational functions and processes
• Participation in collaborative projects and contribution sprints
• Practical experience in areas such as communications, research, facilitation, and resource mobilisation
• Development of portfolio-ready work samples
• Opportunities to network with peers, professionals, and stakeholders across Africa

Fellowship Commitment:
The fellowship runs for approximately 6 months (24 weeks) and is designed to be flexible and manageable alongside other commitments such as studies, employment, or business activities.
Participants are expected to commit:
• Approximately 2–3 hours per week
• Active participation in team activities and contribution sprints
• Attendance at virtual collaboration sessions
• Optional participation in masterclasses and learning events
