LOCATION: GOMBE STATE, NIGERIA
WORK ARRANGEMENT: FULL TIME, WITH FREQUENT FIELD TRAVEL
CONTRACT: 1 YEAR, WITH POSSIBILITY OF EXTENSION BASED ON PERFORMANCE
SALARY: ₦363,850 PER MONTH

ABOUT THE ROLE
The M&E Data Quality and Fraud Prevention Program Officer will be responsible for protecting the accuracy, completeness and integrity of routine programme data.
The officer will lead data-quality checks, investigate suspected duplicate or fraudulent enrolments, coordinate corrections with programme teams and strengthen systems that prevent recurring errors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and maintain ODK forms, attachments, settings and other digital data-collection tools.
Conduct routine data-quality assessments and monitor duplicate ODK submissions, reused PIDs, suspicious attendance patterns and inconsistent programme data.
Review demographic, anthropometric, movement, referral, ration and status data for inconsistencies or implausible combinations.
Work with Program Officers to identify and resolve PID-level issues while maintaining clear correction histories.
Identify recurring staff errors and recommend targeted retraining or safeguards.
Use biometric and photo-matching outputs to identify and investigate possible duplicate or fraudulent enrolments.
Monitor referrals and patient movements between OTP and ITP, including referrals not completed within 48 hours.
Maintain organised paper and digital records.
Configure and troubleshoot ODK phones, metadata and settings.
Develop and revise SOPs in coordination with the supervisor.
Supervise one Program Assistant in Gombe and one Program Assistant in Jigawa.
Support partnerships, training sessions, reviews and conferences through data and technical assistance.
Support budgeting and procurement of M&E materials.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree is required.
Master’s degree in Public Health, Statistics, Social Sciences or a related field is preferred.
At least 3 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, programme compliance, data management or a related field.
At least 1 year of experience working within Taimaka.
Leadership and staff supervision experience is preferred.
Strong technical skills in ODK or a similar digital data-collection platform.
Experience working with dashboards and performance indicators.
Experience supervising staff and maintaining data-quality standards.
Knowledge of HMIS or DHIS2 systems in Nigeria is preferred.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, organisational and documentation skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and maintain regular communication with remote supervisors.
Familiarity with malnutrition treatment programmes is preferred.
Ability to balance technical problem-solving with field-based supervision.
Fluency in English and Hausa, both spoken and written, is required.
Fulfulde proficiency is preferred.
- MAINTENANCE OFFICER
LOCATION: BAJOGA, DEBA AND DUKKU, GOMBE STATE
CONTRACT: 1 YEAR, WITH POSSIBILITY OF EXTENSION BASED ON PERFORMANCE
SALARY: ₦113,950 PER MONTH
REPORTS TO: FACILITY METRON

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Maintenance Officer will support the safe, efficient and reliable operation of Taimaka healthcare facilities.
The role involves facility maintenance, plumbing, electrical and structural repairs, sanitation, water systems, power systems, equipment maintenance, safety checks and operational support.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform routine plumbing, carpentry, electrical and structural repairs.
Maintain clean, safe and functional facility spaces.
Oversee sanitation and bathing facilities in line with infection prevention and control standards.
Monitor boreholes, water tanks, pumps and plumbing systems to ensure reliable water supply.
Maintain generators, solar systems, ventilation systems and general appliances.
Coordinate servicing and maintenance of non-clinical equipment and critical machinery such as oxygen concentrators.
Conduct routine checks of fire extinguishers, electrical wiring and gas systems.
Identify and report potential safety hazards immediately.
Coordinate external technicians and specialists for complex technical issues.
Support caregiver meal logistics and distribution allowances.
Track fuel usage and maintenance activities.
Maintain equipment service schedules.
Process maintenance requests and obtain approvals for major maintenance projects.
Prepare monthly operational reports.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Diploma or relevant training in Community Health Extension, Environmental Health, Building Technology or another relevant technical or vocational field.
Candidates with SSCE, WAEC or NECO and relevant practical technical experience may also be considered.
Minimum of 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in facility maintenance, environmental health, healthcare support or general technical operations.
Experience with plumbing, electrical repairs, water systems, sanitation or general facility maintenance is an advantage.
Healthcare facility or NGO experience is desirable but not compulsory.
Ability to identify faults, carry out minor repairs, maintain records and coordinate external technicians.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Good attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and reliably.

Taimaka is a cost-effective nonprofit focused on improving the treatment of pediatric malnutrition and saving the lives of vulnerable children.
The organisation implements a modified form of community management of acute malnutrition targeting children with severe acute malnutrition in Gombe and Jigawa States, Nigeria.
