Position: Special Intervention Lead

Locations: Sokoto, Zamfara, Borno

Our client is supporting the National Emergency Operations Centre with innovative approaches to improve the quality of polio campaigns across the country. We are seeking Special Intervention Leads to provide technical assistance and leadership for the planning, implementation, and monitoring of special polio interventions. Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Statistics, Health Sciences, or related fields. A Master’s degree is an added advantage.
  • Four to ten years of experience, including previous involvement in polio campaigns and implementation. Experience with Special Intervention Leads vacancies will be considered favourably.
  • Strong experience in campaign coordination in high-risk or insecure settings.
  • Fluency in local dialects of the assigned region is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the planning process for special interventions, including IEV, RES, independent surveys, and cross-border activities.
  • Develop comprehensive special intervention campaign plans and ensure alignment with program objectives.
  • Draft and validate campaign budgets in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Organize stakeholder engagement meetings at local government and ward levels to secure buy-in for the campaign plan. Moreover, Special Intervention Leads vacancies often require strong communication skills.
  • Submit timely updates to the State Technical Lead and other relevant stakeholders on campaign progress, challenges, and resolutions.
