ABOUT THE GFF

The Global Financing Facility for Women, Children and Adolescents is a global partnership housed at the World Bank that works with low and lower-middle-income countries to improve health outcomes for women, children and adolescents.

The GFF supports countries through catalytic financing and technical assistance to develop and implement prioritized national health plans, strengthen primary healthcare systems and expand access to affordable, quality healthcare.

The partnership focuses on evidence-driven investments in reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health and nutrition, while supporting countries to make better use of domestic and external financing.

ABOUT FASTR

The Frequent Assessment Systems and Tools for Resiliency FASTR initiative supports countries to generate and use rapid-cycle analytics from health management information systems HMIS, health facility assessments and household and client surveys.

The initiative aims to strengthen the use of timely data to improve health programming, including reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health and nutrition outcomes.

The GFF-Gavi FASTR partnership specifically focuses on using FASTR data to generate immunisation-specific insights and results to inform essential immunisation programmes.

ABOUT THE CONSULTANCY

The consultant will support the FASTR team in conducting immunisation-specific and other analyses using HMIS and health facility assessment HFA data.

Working with the HFA FASTR Team Lead and Gavi partnership focal person, the consultant will develop and update Stata code, produce analytical outputs and support testing and validation of service-specific modules.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. FASTR IMMUNISATION ANALYTICS

Update existing Stata code used for immunisation country profiles.

Work with the Gavi partnership focal person to develop do files for immunisation analysis.

Develop code to produce immunisation module country reports.

Support development of joint HMIS-HFA analysis reports.

  1. SERVICE-SPECIFIC MODULE TESTING

Develop do files aligned with the analysis plan for service-specific module testing.

Develop do files for validation analyses.

Conduct quantitative analysis to support testing and validation.

Draft reports presenting findings from validation analyses.

  1. DATA ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION

Support the analysis of HMIS and HFA data.

Conduct quantitative data manipulation and analysis.

Interpret analytical findings and contribute to clear, evidence-based reporting.

Support the FASTR team in producing reliable immunisation data outputs for programme decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Applicants should have:

  1. A Master’s Degree in Public Health or a related field.
  2. At least 3 years of professional experience working in global health.
  3. Demonstrated experience in quantitative data collection, analysis and interpretation.
  4. Strong programming and data analysis skills.
  5. Proficiency in Stata is required.
  6. Experience with R for data manipulation and analysis is an advantage.
  7. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

The successful consultant should be comfortable working with health data, quantitative analysis and statistical programming.

Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking and the ability to translate data into clear findings will be important for this assignment.

CONSULTANCY TIMELINE

Start: 1 November 2026

End: 30 March 2027

Estimated level of effort: 30 days

PAYMENT

The consultant will submit monthly invoices detailing project-related activities undertaken during each billing period.

Invoices will be reviewed and approved in accordance with the consultancy agreement, after which payment will be made based on the agreed payment schedule and level of effort.
