The Tearfund Nigeria team is directly implementing SGBV programme on the ViiV Healthcare Positive Action funded project; We matter, our lives (health) count too!. This project seeks to enable Adolescent girls, young women and the community in Wadata and Gboko Local governments of Benue State.

Tearfund Nigeria is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual in project management to fill the following position:

Job title: Project Officer (SGBV – We Matter Too! Project). Benue base & Immediate Resumption

Location:  Benue State, Nigeria.

Hours: Full time; 40hrs/week

Contract length: 2 years

This is a local national package; applicants should have permission to work in Nigeria.

The Project Officer Support the SGBV/MCHPR Coordinator in implementing the Project on We matter, our lives (health) count too!; Enabling Adolescent girls, young women and the community, and other SGBV/MCHPR projects to ensure programmatic and financial integrity of the project including achievement of the project goals, objectives and outcomes. S/he will ensure that the project is implemented with best practices, getting lessons learned and inclusion of lessons learnt including meeting organisational Quality Standards and international standards, working closely with all staff to do this. The role will require travel to field sites approximately 80% of the time.

The post holder will support the SGBV/MCHPR Coordinator in technical planning supervision and monitoring of field activities, maintain, monitor and measure the We matter too and other SGBV implementation and contribute to effective information management on community dialogues, diffusion activities and other project activities to ensure adherence to SOPs, participate in the monthly planning meetings to ensure effective implementation of the project. S/he will assist in project monitoring at the community level and participate in the Technical Advisory Group meeting and Work with other departments/units in Tearfund including the Gender Based Violence/Psychosocial Support (GBV/PS)
